Relayware Hackathon

Employee hackathon to further develop our PRM solution

Relayware Partner Relationship Management

Relayware Hackathon

24-Hour Will Enable Self-expression and Creativity Through Technology

Posted on September 19, 2016 By Sandra Barkhuizen

Soon, on Oct. 20 to 21, Relayware will host our very first hackathons. Each one of us has a unique vision, deep knowledge and specific insight of what customers need in a state-of-the-art partner relationship management solution, and the Relayware Hackathon brings together developers and others, including graphic designers, interface designers and project managers, to collaborate intensively on software projects. This gives us the opportunity to bring out our creativity and experiment new technologies that we don't always work with day-to-day.

Our employees can either work within one team, join multiple teams or work on their own. As we gear up and the excitement builds, we've already begun forming teams around a problem or idea. There is incredible passion for our product, and this intense collaboration that will advance our PRM solution into new areas that haven't made it onto the formal roadmap.

We were inspired by famous and influential hackathons at the most innovative companies. For example, a GroupMe is a group messaging app that was acquired by Skype for over $50 million. Other notable examples include the Facebook "Like" button and Facebook Chat which were both first demoed at internal company hackathons.

We will begin the day at 12pm with pizza and drinks followed by some serious Hackathon fun. There are no rules other than turn up and have fun. I can't wait to report back what we come up with!
