Relayware Partner Relationship Management

Relayware’s Product Quality

By Ryan Letley, Relayware Test Engineer

Channel partner managers should be focused on the larger strategy of how to improve their partners’ performance, not spending their time and energy always figuring out how to use a technology solution. So, as a professional on Relayware’s testing team, I am always thinking about all the ways we need to measure our product’s reliability, UI and UX.

Channel partner professionals have their priorities (increasing channel sales), and I have mine – making it easy for them to get their job done as effortlessly as possible.

This week, in particular, I’ve been focused on our UI. Is it easy? Is it intuitive? Is the flow natural?

Our user interface team (aka: front end development team) work hard to evolve the user interface into a really great experience for our customers, exceeding their expectations. And our backend developers create the code that supports this exceptional experience. In considering our measurement of our UI this week I was astutely aware of how well my colleagues in these teams work together and challenge the solutions presented until we come to the best solution together.

This made me profoundly aware of how critical it is to pay attention to the whole solution to create a well-architected, beautiful, elegant product. As we measure our UI, we have to put in place evaluations on our front end as well as the backend code. Just like channel managers need to measure both their channel partners’ performance as well as how well the systems in place are effectively supporting those partners.
